The Best of Vincent Price – Master of the Macabre

Vincent Price (1911-1993) was the master of macabre and best known as an actor in horror films. Although the horror films in which he starred look seriously dated compared to today’s standards (e.g., mask, camera and special effects) and lack the intensity of the horror genre as we know it today, his films have remained popular among movie fans. Bluecasting – A Case Study
Many were expecting the iPhone 4S to come packaged with NFC technology. While that didn’t happen to be the case, the new iOS 5 powered iPhone 4S is the first iPhone to utilize Bluetooth 4.0 technology. Proximity marketing technologies such as NFC and Bluetooth open up new avenues to marketers looking to explore transmitting marketing messages to consumers. Puppeteer Jim Henson is best known for the characters he created for “Sesame Street” and “The Muppet Show.” But before his success with “Sesame Street” and “The Muppets Show,” Jim Henson spent years working on hundreds of commercials throughout the 1960s and 70s. During that experimental period, he introduced and developed many of the characters as we know them today.

National Novel Writing Month

National Novel Writing Month (or for debatably short, NaNoWriMo) is a program run by a nonprofit called the Office of Letters and Light. The premise is the promotion of “thirty days and nights of literary abandon,” encouraging writers to write a novel over the course of November by engaging in an online community of other authors.

Branding: Brand Identity Flags
Much like a country’s flag, a brand’s identity is supposed to represent the brand as a whole. Looking at some of the most recognizable brand identities, one of the things that stands out the most is the colors that are used. Why were these colors chosen? What do the colors mean? What do they mean to the company? These are some important questions to ask when considering which colors should represent a brand. In this entry, 16 brand identities were turned into flags to represent each brand as if they were countries. The prevalence of each color was taken into consideration in making these flags.
