PlayStation 4 has been officially out more than one year now. In addition to new console design and higher hardware specification, the PlayStation 4 also has various new features which improve the users’ gaming experience.
The console comes with an eight core x86-64 AMD “Jaguar” CPU, 800MHz AMD Radeon GPU and 8GB of mega-fast GDDR5 RAM. The new system not only improves gaming performance like speed and graphics but also provides various social features including media sharing, live broadcasting, and share play. For example, share play allows people to join the users’ play session remotely even though they do not own the game.
The redesigned DualShock 4 controller has several new functionalities. One of the main features is the clickable touch pad in the front of the controller, which offers a new way to play and interact with games. Also, there is a stereo headphone jack that allows the users to speak and hear game audio simultaneously.
If you haven’t seen it in action, here is a comparison of the Graphics of PS4 vs PS3:
My favorite feature is the new share button on the new controller. By clicking the share button during the game, you can pause the game and upload screenshots or video clips instantly to social services such as Twitch and Facebook, allowing you to broadcast your favorite moments to your friends.
If you’re looking to make the jump to the next generation and you’re not sure which console is right for you, Playstation 4 offers some compelling features that you’d do well to consider.
