Cheer up, citizen!

The 9th edition of the annual video game convention held by Blizzard is coming up on November 6th and 7th.

As usual, the convention will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center in California.

This event is the opportunity for Blizzard Entertainment to promote their major franchises such as World of Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo and the new Heroes of the Storm and Hearthstone.

Every year, the convention allows the company to present the upcoming content for its current games and discuss the future of those games. Blizzard also set up some Q&A sessions and panels during the event, and grants the attendees  the possibility to play and test some games of the company.

Attendees at the event are also presented a swag bag which is a bag containing a various Blizzard games-related items, such as collectible figurines or Blizzard in-game content.

If you are not able to come to the event but want to get informed about what’s going on during the event you can still purchase a Virtual Ticket of the event and watch it from anywhere (if you have an Internet connection obviously :D).

If you do so, you will also receive all the digital content of the swag bag.

Take a look at what’s inside the Digital Ticket’s swag bag for the BlizzCon 2015 !

The digital package contains :

- Murkidan Pet, a companion pet for the game World of Warcraft

- Nexus Battle Beast, a rideable mount for the game Heroes of the Storm

- Blizzard 2015 Card Back, a back card illustration for the game Hearthsone

- Portraits, 2 character portraits for the game StarCraft

- BlizzCon Pennant, Pet and Portrait, various content for the game Diablo III

It’s a common thing that for the closing night of the event, a well known band is invited to perform on scene. For instance last year, a Metallica concert was held for the event.

But this year the convention is going to be really special since Blizzard will discuss its brand new game, Overwatch, the first FPS game created by this company.

Blizzard will also present its two huge extensions for the the games StarCraft II and World of Warcraft.

Let’s present the big announcements that will be discussed during this BlizzCon 2015 :

Starcraft II : Legacy of the Void

Legacy of the Void is the 2nd upcoming extension for StarCraft II. The story of this extension is based on a specific race in the game, the Protoss, which are a kind of a blue aliens possessing a really advanced void based technology.

The extension will bring to the game new characters, new features and of course an updated game’s story.

World of Warcraft : Legion

Legion is the new upcoming extension for the legendary an still undefeated game World of Warcraft (or WoW for the initiates). Legion will continue to update the story of the Warcraft universe, this time bringing back to Azeroth (the place where the game takes place), some iconic characters and enemies from the license such as Illidan or the Burning Legion. As far as the in-game content is concerned, Legion will bring a lot of new stuff to the game. For instance new outdoors places, new instances (a place where you can play with a limited amount of people), new items, and a brand new playable class, the Demon Hunter.

The Demon Hunter character was introduced for the first time in the game Warcraft III in 2002. Since then because of his design and personality, he might be the most famous and prefered character in the whole Warcraft license.

Overwatch will be the next game released by the editor. No announcement about the coming out date has been made so far. Overwatch is first game designed by the company to be a FPS (First Personnal Shooter) and so a lot of people get excited about the result and look forward to play the game. Besides, it’s pretty certain that the attendes will be able to play Overwatch during the BlizzCon.

And now, as a bonus, here are some fancy cosplays from the latest BlizzCon. Enjoy!
